This technology provides a flexible infrastructure for delivering services in a network and for creating spontaneous interactions between clients that use these services regardless of their hardware or software implementations. Concepts introduced by this technology such as leasing discovery and the movement of objects over a network vastly simplifies interaction on a network embedding a great degree of resiliency and scalability within a distributed system. Companies are using this technology to build communities of services out of simple piece of hardware and software that have been built according to it s specification. Examples ranges from business enterprises, medical systems, financial applications, and battlefield implementations, to a Jini enabled car or a Smart House. It s source code is available at no cost.
