So I might as well share the story behind my name with all my readers. My momma was born and raised in New Orleans. At the age of twenty, she met and fell in love with an Irishman named Patrick Riley Dwyer. Needless to say, the family was a bit taken aback by this as they hoped she would marry a family friend.
It was a modern day arranged marriage kind of thing and my momma downright refused. Despite attempts by my grandpapa to make Patrick leave and destroy the love between them, my parents married. They recently celebrated their sixtieth wedding anniversary. I am one of six children born to Patrick and Lynn Dwyer. I am a combination of both Irish and a true Southern belle. Just as my parents had a love story of their own, I grew up intrigued by the lifestyles of others.
My imagination as well as my need to stray from the straight and narrow made me into the woman I am today. What is a typical day like for you?
I usually wake up around a. Then I begin writing. Depending on where I am in a story I either edit, do some research online to add authenticity to the story or I simply type away, creating the story.
I do this until the kids wake up and my regular day begins. By p. I would have to say my husband. After seeing me dedicate so much time in research and writing my stories he said I should try to get them published. Of course I was a bit timid about the process and trying to submit, but he was insistent. My husband is kind of like Saber in the story. He is stubborn, demanding, a big, muscular guy but always compassionate when it comes to loving me and our children. Why do you like to write erotic romance?
I am a passionate person. I give a hundred percent in everything I do. A good erotic romance tells a story about finding love, surviving barriers while falling in love and shows that love conquers all. It makes the story stronger and is the icing on the cake. Where do you get your ideas from? The creative mind is such a wonderful and mysterious thing. I have gotten many of my ideas by observing people and places around me. I could take one little action like someone tripping and a stranger grabbing them before they fell and turn it into a whole story behind the two individuals.
I used to think that everyone noticed these types of things and behaviors around them. But after whispering comments to my husband and friends about what I noticed or thought they would look at me strangely. Do you carry a tape recorder or notebook with you? I do carry a notebook in my pocketbook, and I have a recorder by my bed. Many times I have awoken in the middle of the night to record my thoughts.
I have gotten many ideas at night. Other times I have been so inspired to write that I would get up and tip toe downstairs to write on the computer. Those are the days that are the most tiring but also the most productive. Are you working on other stories now? I have been working on another romance story and hoping to get published by Siren-BookStrand again.
Were Trilogy by Dixie Lynn Dwyer
Shelves: steer-clear , paranormal Holy Crap, this book was awful. All she wants is to support herself while keeping a low profile from some bad guys that have been tracking her for years. Little do they know she is already aware of were world and little does she know that her connection to that world, runs deeper than she could imagine. Lexi is at the center of a pack war and the first claim her wins. As soon as I read the synopsis of this story, I immediately bought it. It has all the elements I was looking for, action, romance, scorching sex, some were-wolf action, and a kick-butt alpha female. I was a little disappointed on the kick-butt alpha female part due to the fact that Lexi starts out very independently, but as soon as she gets mixed up with the triplets, she loses herself a little.
