It was with very great regret that we chose to postpone the conference last week when it became clear that the event could not go ahead. Fortunately, Keble College have been very reasonable and have allowed us to transfer the meeting in its entirety to a new date from September Availability was incredibly limited, particularly as Keble is restricted to out of term dates and we were very fortunate to secure a date that was at an appropriate time of year and did not clash with other meetings or school holidays.
Our sincere hope is that we will be well past the worst of the coronavirus outbreak by this date. Despite the fact that our losses for rescheduling the meeting are much less than they could have been, we will still be left with a shortfall and the society will have to bear the additional organisational costs of running the meeting again.
Registration for new delegates will open in late spring. We do have to point out that based on current registrations, we are almost at venue capacity and there may be very few additional places available. For those of you that booked a room in college using the BSCI discount code you should already have received a full refund.
If any of you have had any issues with this, please contact Keble accommodation directly. Delegates requiring discounted accommodation in college for the new event will be able to book online as before and we will be providing booking discount codes in due course.
