A universidade est em crise. Isto ocorre porque a sociedade est em crise; atravs da crise da universidade que os jovens funcionam detectando as contradies profundas do social, refletidas na universidade. A universidade no algo to essencial como a linguagem; ela simplesmente uma instituio dominante ligada dominao. No uma instituio neutra; uma instituio de classe, onde as contradies de classe aparecem. Para obscurecer esses fatores ela desenvolve uma ideologia do saber neutro, cientfico, a neutralidade cultural e o mito de um saber objetivo, acima das contradies sociais.
